Living Accommodation

At MFAB, the schedule facilitates pre-professional ballet training and general education academic studies. MFAB students take academic classes (Elementary, Middle School, High School and College level courses) in the mornings, and their MFAB training in the afternoons and evenings. The schedule is crafted to allow the least stressful transition between academic studies and ballet training. Transportation to and between MFAB and the local school systems is provided for all students. Transportation costs are covered by the materials and supplies fee for the year.

Because our students come from across the US and from different parts of the world, we offer options for living accommodations. Any student at MFAB has the option of being accompanied by a parent or guardian who can purchase or rent living accommodations while in Prescott, Arizona. MFAB administration will assist these families to find affordable and suitable accommodations. Students who are 18 years old or older, are expected to rent an apartment or in a group, rent a house in Prescott, Arizona. All younger students and those 18 and above can opt to reside in dormitory facilities in the form of Dorm Houses. Dorm Houses offer a house mother, transportation and the option of a Room/Board contract.

Our Dorm house is located in the Summit Pointe community, overlooking downtown Prescott. Offering spectacular views of the city it is a short drive or 10 minute walk to the lower school campus and the amenities of downtown Prescott. We offer a safe and supervised environment where students can develop skills for self-reliance and independence in preparation for working as an artist. Our Dorm mother is on duty to support our student’s needs, respond to crisis, medical emergencies and to oversee student well-being. We encourage a familial atmosphere with a setting for relaxation and rest, and students are encouraged to take part in group activities and social programs. Meals are provided in a modern kitchen, and a second kitchenette is available for student use, the students are very welcome to cook and bake as they would at home. Meals can be catered for dietary restrictions, and are designed to provide nutrition for growing athletes. Large living spaces throughout the home provide area for socializing whether it be watching TV, reading, board games or jigsaw puzzles.
